Antenatal, Birth, and Postnatal Support - £1000
Antenatal Sessions
During your pregnancy, we’ll have two antenatal sessions, each lasting around two and a half hours. These sessions are primarily for me to listen to you—hearing about your journey to this pregnancy, how you’re feeling, any important details you'd like to share, questions on your mind, and your hopes and wishes for labor and birth. We'll schedule these sessions flexibly, according to your preferences.
The sessions are tailored to fit your needs. We might explore the stages of labour and your body’s natural processes, discuss how your environment can impact labour, recognise emotional cues during labour, go over various birth choices depending on your birthing location, explore how to be an effective birth partner, or discuss comfort techniques. I can also help you find reliable information for decision-making and provide encouragement, reminding you that the strength to bring your baby into the world is within you.
Throughout these sessions, I’ll share practical tips for mental and physical preparation, early infant feeding, and postnatal planning.
Phone, Email, and WhatsApp Support
From the moment you hire me, I’m here to support you as needed. Whether a question arises, you need reassurance, or simply want to vent about pregnancy challenges, I’m available. This open communication can help deepen our relationship, allowing you to feel at ease in my company. You’re fully in control of the level of contact, based on what feels best for you.
Labour & Birth Support
As your due date approaches, I’ll be on call, ready to support you during labour whenever it begins. Every family’s needs are unique, so my role in labour will vary based on what’s most helpful to you.
My emotional support includes being a steady, calming presence, reinforcing your instincts, and helping you trust your body. I’ll also be there for your birth partner, supporting them to best assist you.
Physically, I can help set up your birth environment and suggest comfort techniques such as aromatherapy, breathing exercises, hot/cold therapy, massage, and movement. I’ll only step in when you request it, as the best approach can only be known in the moment.
I’m also here as an advocate, ensuring you have space to make decisions about your body and baby. This might mean offering support as labour unfolds, or reminding you that you have time to make choices.
After your baby arrives, I’ll assist with infant feeding, as well as help create a peaceful space for you to bond with your newborn, and I will only leave when you’re ready for me to.
Postnatal Support
Following your baby’s birth, we will arrange two follow-up visits whenever you feel they’ll be beneficial. These sessions typically include discussing your birth experience, support with baby care and feeding, and assistance with light household tasks—whatever you need as you settle into life with your little one.
Postnatal Doula Services
The Postnatal experience is a special time full of change and new challenges, and having additional support can be invaluable during the early days and weeks after birth. As your Postnatal Doula, I help support your growing family by assisting with newborn care, providing breastfeeding support, household tasks, and creating space for rest and recovery. My role is to help parents feel confident and supported in their choices while reducing stress and promoting bonding with the baby.
